IN PROGRESS: PERSONAL LOGO

These are some options for a personal logo, to be used on websites, business systems, and the like. I'm leaning toward the top center variation, as it gives a nod to my mixed ethnicity, which I am quite proud of. Props mom & dad!

IN PROGRESS: SMAP POSTER

My friend Ang, an urban planner, approached me to design a poster for an upcoming student conference for the Michigan Association of Planning.

These were my boundaries:
+ tabloid size
+ one color, in order to minimize print costs

The theme for this conference is "The Future of Planning," which according to this conference is a harmony between old, new, and natural. I wanted to avoid kelly green, which is ubiquitous when discussing Green matters, so I opted instead for a cooler green. I also made a version using maroon, the color designated to APA MI.

Regarding the graphic, which could also be interpreted as a logo:
I wanted to convey a strong relationship between the urban and the natural.
